The special Ethnographic Museum in Elhovo possesses an original exposition opened on April 3, 1971. The exhibits have a strong appeal to the mind and heart of visitors of different age brackets and walks of life. The exposition is situated in four halls, on an area of 244 sq m.
The ethnographic exposition proper is preceded by a short introduction into Elhovo's history and past.

Hall 1 presents the basic means of livelihood of the population (in late 19th — early 20th century): farming, viticulture,tobacco growing, stock-breeding, hunting and fishing, and sometraditional crafts — coppersmithery and tailoring. Room is given to transport and means of transport.
Hall 2 shows the house and interior in late 19th and early 20th century brought into the exposition in the natural size and original masonry.

Hall 3 contains the traditional costume of the population in the southeastern corner of the Bulgarian lands in late 19th century; children's, men's and women's and everyday and Sundayclothes.
The garments of the Bulgarian refugees from Adrianople and Aegean Thrace — Gumuljina, Uzunkupru and Dedeagac arouse great interest.
Hall 4 is given to some traditional festivities and rites like wedding, mummers' games, Christmas carols, St Lazarus' Day with the specific properties: ritualistic attire and ritualistic personage illustrated by original exhibits - objects r.id photos of the time in question.
The exposition ends with examples of woodcarving and icon painting by original local 19th century artists.
