The museum is engaged in education by lectures, publishing of materials acquired and studied in situ, visiting exhibitions, portable photo exhibitions, demonstrations of national costume, methodological assistance. The overall activities of the special Ethnographic Museum in Elhovo have made it a research, cultural, educational and ideological institute which plays a major role in gathering, keeping and publicizing folk art and culture in the border Strandja-Sakar region.
